HP expands Converged Cloud portfolio

HP has expanded its Converged Cloud portfolio, with new offers that widen the cloud power in the infrastructures, apps and information to allow companies speeding their innovation and improving the agility.

HP Converged Cloud is the first strategy and industry portfolio which is based in a unique architecture that combines private, managed and public cloud, apart from IT traditional, to create an environment able to change following changeable company requirements.

A recent study by HP suggests that for 2020, high business and technology executives expect that private and public cloud delivery models of their companies duplicate. However, if they are not correctly used, those models can produce cloud silos which would mean complexity, risk and dependence on a single supplier.

“Successful companies must be able to chose the delivery model in accordance to their technological needs, whether in the cloud or on site,” said Bill Veghte, Executive Director at HP operations area. “The HP Converged Cloud strategy gives companies options in delivery models and platforms with the reliability of a service which is delivered through leading products in the market, apart from a reliable infrastructure and solid experience.”

Next generation management of cloud apps

As soon as customers adopt places in the cloud, the apps and performance of business processes are increasingly interrelating, which increases complexity. HP Application Performance Management 9.2 for Converged Cloud helps customer managing convergent cloud environments, which improves cloud and mobile apps management. The significant improvements to HP Diagnostics, HP Real User Monitor and HP SiteScope allow a close relationship between operating and development teams, at the same time that provide better mobile monitoring capacities for apps in the cloud environments.

The updated versions of HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and HP Performance Center (PC) allow companies to promote the business innovation through continues delivery of apps with the new functions of Lab Management Automation and Continuous Application Performance Delivery. These new offers help companies breaking IT silos to give original apps of high quality for hybrid environments and the cloud.

Closing the gap in IT skills in the cloud

A research shows that about 60% of executive information directors believe that the gap in IT skills is affecting the capacity of executing strategies and solutions in the cloud. (2) In a continuous effort to remove this gap, HP ExpertONE, the wide scenario of training and certification of the company for IT professionals, introduced two new certifications for the cloud: HP Accredited Technical Professional, for the cloud administrator, and HP Accredited Solution Expert, for the cloud integrator. These HP ExpertONE cloud certifications are essential so that companies can turn their IT focused on products into in an IT focused on unified services, which will be open, secure, agile and solid within all traditional IT services and in the cloud.
