The HITEC 2014 Summit gathered leaders from multiple industries
Established since 2007, HITEC was born out of a desire to bring together Hispanic leaders and promote excellence, talent and a variety of opportunities.
These series of conferences were held on May 1st and 2nd at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. The event counted with Accenture, Cisco, Bank of America, CheckPoint, Avaya, Citrix, Oracle and Verint as its sponsors.
There were several informative presentations, such as «Cloud knows no boundaries» by Ricardo Bartra of DHL Global Forwarding, who explained the importance of logistics and the integration of Cloud, Andrew Wilson of Accenture who spoke about professional success and end users and Nisha Sharma of Accenture Mobility who explained all about fitness apps, connected homes and driverless cars.
Andre Arbelaez, President of the Hispanic IT Executive Council, explained the importance of this Summit, which was to promote leadership, free ideas, cloud computing, mobility and the future of technology and its devices.
Myrna Soto, Senior Vice President & CISO Comcast is very pleased with the results the organization has achieved throughout the years. There have been many development programs for technology professionals, as well as educational opportunities for the next generation of Hispanic IT leaders. The panels have attracted various companies and business opportunities, as she finished telling.
At the end of the panels, the CIO’s and guests enjoyed a fun time networking with one another while having drinks and snacks at the Blue Bar of the Hotel.
