Google reported plan to buy WhatsApp for US $1 billion
2013 has been described to be the year for the improvement and development of communication apps. WhatsApp, one of the leading mobile apps is being courted by Google, who is willing to pay one billion dollars according to Digital Trends.
In addition, Google is also rumored to be working in a new communication platform called “Babel”. The combination of Google and Whatsapp it will give a significant advantage to Google in the mobile market. According to Digital Trends the companies have been negotiating for the past 4 to 5 weeks, and WhatsApp is playing hard to get, and is trying to command a larger amount of money from Google.
