Flexpod makes a splash!

Adistec started to work on this solution in the third Quarter of 2013, as Gardelin explained. They provided training to the channel on trademarks and the solution that is Flexpod, made marketing events such as the Adistec Cloud Tour and Adistec Flexpod Roadshow where they went to several countries to talk about architecture, the solution and problems it can solve. They want to continue to support the strategy of the three manufacturers (Cisco, NetApp, VMware). They have spent the last two years on the market by defining a joint architecture for the products in order to present a single solution to customers.

Dave Villalta led technical discussions with the team of pre-sales for Cisco and NetApp. The solutions being presented are validated in terms of its architecture by these two manufacturers. The VMware solution is adopted in order to be implemented, depending on what the customer needs.

In terms of benefits offered by the Flexpod, Gardelin explained that «it has the solution integrated by first tier manufacturers. When we talk about the technical quality there are plenty of details that make it an excellent solution in the market, such as its UCS servers, the operating system Data On Tap and Nexus switches.»  Villalta commented about the strength of the architecture, which includes the administration and the unified resources that Cisco and NetApp offer. With Nexus, users have the option of using unified fabric without having to use fiber switches for the fiber channel connections. With UCS, users can create profiles for Hyper V or VMware.

There are three types of target markets for Flexpod: SMB for security, the corporate market that has needs such as the data protection, business continuity, backup solutions, efficient management in the data center and the market of service providers.

Currently, Adistec is also preparing on launching four models of FlexPod that will be pre-configured for the next SAP solutions: Business One, Business WareHouse, Software Suite and SAP HANA DB.
