The new laptop now competes in the same space as the Pixel, a Google-branded device, and the new HP Chromebook 11, an ultralight laptop that charges via Micro-USB.  The C720 offers 8 hours of battery life, 4GB memory, and an Intel Celeron 2955U processor with Haswell micro-architecture. It shares the same style case with former products, but is thinner and weighs less than 3 pounds. It also offers a 16GB state drive that improves responsiveness and helps Acer slim the design by 30%, to 0.75 inches.  The laptop is available for pre-order now and will be shipping in the upcoming weeks.
