With more than quadruple the resolution of today’s HD televisions, the 4K technology offers a more dynamic and immersive visual experience. And when talking about the 4K, Sony has the reputation of being the pioneer.

Sony started the 4K revolution by revealing the first commercial-use 4K projector for movie theatres (now there are more than 13,000 4K projectors installed around the world) and the first professional camera for producing 4K content, the F65. Sony offers a 4K ecosystem from start to end that no other company can provide with the domestic-use 4K projector, a complete line of entertainment products for home use with 4K capacities such as the 84” 4K LED television that was recently introduced and a preinstalled 4K content delivery system, another 4K innovation.

Sony unveiled two new 4K LED television models in 55 and 65 inches (the XBR-65X900A and the XBR-55X900A) which should be available in the second quarter of the year. Both offer the same and incredible 4K resolution, but at a more reasonable price, to bring the 4K visual experience to a wider public.

Sony plans to introduce the first 4K content distribution service in the United States in the first quarter of the year. With a dedicated use of the 4K Media Creator, the users can enjoy original Sony Pictures Entertainment 4K content in their homes with incredible image and sound quality.

It also combines the 4K technology with other visualization technology that it pioneered: OLED. Sony launched the world’s first OLED 11 inch television in 2007, and has had great success in commercial markets with bigger OLED professional screen monitors. It will exhibit a 4K OLED 56 inch television, showing an important step in the consumer visual experience.

This year Samsung opens a new world of possibilities in home entertainment, with the introduction of a complete line of televisions with bigger screens, including its first Ultra High Definition 85 inch TV (UHD TV) and its new Smart TV insignia, the F8000 LED TV. On top of its extensive offer of content and leadership in the Smart TV platform, Samsung also presented the most personalized visual television experience ever created: S-Recommendation with Voice Interaction technologies.

For the first time in the CES, Samsung unveiled its new UHD TV with a large screen. Merging technology and craft to create a “Timeless Galley Design”, this Samsung UHD TV offers four times as many pixels (4K) than available on 1080p resolution, to offer greater detail, unequal clarity and a more vivid image quality. It also provides an audio experience that is up to par with the excellent screen: its 120 watts speakers are perfectly integrated into the frame of the television.

To offer a new world of visual experiences, using currently available content, the UHD has a scaling algorithm that is capable of converting HD and Full HD content to UHD resolution.

On the other hand, LG Electronics presented its new OLED TV (model: 55EM9700) that weighs less than 10 kg and is 4 millimeters thick. It is superior in incredibly vivid image reproduction thanks to its WRGB (White/Red/Green/Blue) technology. Also, it has the exclusive Four-Color Pixel System that configures the colors in an intelligent manner, as a result giving am extraordinary realistic vision. It also has a function that maintains the contrast levels without concern for the ambient brightness or the angle of your viewing.

Adding to the new OLED TV, LG Electronics showed at the CES 2013 its new line of televisions with Google TV (GA7900 and GA6400), these models have designs that exceed expectations and offer an intuitive experience for consumers.
